• Learn how to enhance your artwork by negative painting around the subject without filling it with color, but instead painting around it to create its image & depth. It will give your art the illusion of 3-Dimensionality. Through this series, you will learn how this technique is guaranteed to improve your art greatly.
• Sketches will be provided, no drawing skills are required, and these classes are for every level of painter, from absolute beginner to advanced. A variety of different techniques will be taught in each class
• The next progression in the series is layers & layers of colorful leaves on the ground. Using negative painting, we can paint around each leaf & 3 dimensional create layers of depth & colorful beauty.

• Choose from a variety of fun-shaped ornaments, rocks, or small wood pieces to transform into a colorful unique addition to your home.  We will lead you through all of the steps needed to create your pieces from choosing the best colors, design,  cutting, grouting, and more.  You will leave class with a finished piece ready to put into your house or garden. We have a wide variety of shapes and designs to choose from or bring your own idea and we will help you create it.

​Create your own underwater world in this fun class, you will learn how to paint a soft ocean with depth, a variety of seaweed and bubbles. We will then add these cute swimming turtles to your painting with patterned shells and cute faces. You can add as many turtles to your painting as you like to make it match your family, Jen will have sketches of different swimming turtles for you to use.

• Create your own sea gull with attitude in Marco's fun acrylic class. You will learn a variety of techniques that will help you paint a stormy sky filled with billowing clouds full of layers. You will also find new tricks to create texture in paint to create a realistic pylon and featured friend.

• ​Learn to paint soft seas, rolling waves and crashing waves in this fun class all about the ocean. You will choose from a variety of images to inspire you or bring your own and Jen will walk you through how to paint your chosen image. You will learn a variety or tips on how to paint movement in the water, create depth in your landscape and add the magic sun kissed skies and reflections. Choose to paint a vibrant painting or a softer soothing image, this class is open to a variety of subjects for inspiration so come excited to paint waves. ​

• Summer’s tall and stunning Sunflowers make a wonderful watercolor project as we create their textured centers and their vibrant, floppy leaves. We will use watercolors to create the varied shades of yellow & greens, & the flower’s trademark textured center will be developed with a variety of watercolor mediums and brusho crystals. No drawing skills required., sketches will be provided.

You’ll work with brilliant colors and textures as you capture the splendor of vibrant color streaming through the trees. This is an excellent lesson for practicing wet-in-wet color blending as you create vibrant colors in this beautiful abstract landscape.

• Learn to create your own 3D mosaic critter or rectangle picture in this super fun and relaxing class.  These pieces are perfect for your wall indoors or out.  You will learn all the steps needed to create your piece from start to finish including designing your piece, color choices, cutting glass, gluing, and grouting. You will leave class with a piece ready to hang.  These all-day classes are larger projects than the half-day workshops with more details and customization.

• Come enjoy a fun afternoon of creating as you learn how to paint your own undersea Jellyfish Duo. You will learn how to layer the acrylics to create depth, motion and more. Jen will walk you through how to paint a deep background, colorful jellyfish, floating bubbles and more. You can choose your own colors for the background and jellyfish.
• Jellyfish will be pre-drawn on your canvas to help you focus on painting and not get caught up on the drawing.

• You’ll create a painting of cacti basking in the desert sun, with their deep green body exploding with vivid flowers in your choice of colors. You will paint shadows, rough textures, and softly glazed petals to make your painting feel as if it is coming alive with the delicate flowers. We will apply several different watercolor techniques such as wet-into-wet, glazing, charging, and adding salt and splatter. A reference drawing will be provided, so no drawing skills are required.

• Capture your own version of this fun mermaid and pirate encounter. Jen will walk you through how to create a dramatic evening sky, moving water and your own colorful mermaid. Choose to paint her any color you like adding a personal touch to the painting. You can then add some finishing touches with islands, pirate ships and sea creatures. Sketches and transfer paper will be provided so you do not need to know how to draw and you can just focus on painting.

• Capture the beauty and charm of  colorful starfish. You will work on developing perspective in your layering and how to create depth in each starfish. Numerous watercolor techniques will be employed as we paint this scene using Golden’s QoR watercolors and Silver Watercolor Brushes. Pick your colors and patterns to make the painting yours. No drawing skills are required.

• Learn to paint the our local beach dunes with soft sky, rolling waves and beach grass. You will learn how to create texture and shadows to make your dunes come alive. ​You can even finish off your painting with a few birds.  A variety of watercolor tips and techniques will be taught that you can use with a variety of subjects. ​No drawing skills are required.

• Spend a fun evening painting with Jen from Red Brick at Deep Sea Tasting Room at the Ventura Harbor. You will learn how to paint a vibrant ocean sunset with a dynamic sailboat.  You will also learn how to create reflections in the water, lowing sun, and moving water. Choose your own colors to make the painting your own you will learn a variety of fun techniques as you create your painting, no experience is needed.

• Mixed Media Textured Acrylics Pick Your Subject with Jen Livia (class link)

• Explore the magic of create multi-layered paintings with vibrant colors, textures and dimension. You will learn how to choose colors and values for each layer of your painting to create a dynamic image. Use a variety of stencils in your background layers to add layers of textures. Then add a focal point with your foreground subject which can be anything from bees, dragonflies, trees, flowers and people.  Learn how to incorporate metallic, iridescent and interference paints as well to add a little magic.  Students can choose to work on several smaller paintings to create mini worlds or pick on larger piece to focus on. This class is about exploring a variety of fun techniques so come ready to play.

• Learn to paint a bunch of white Calla Lillies with depth, texture and layers as you learn a variety of tips and techniques to "Paint white" in watercolors. You will learn the art of negative painting and how to leave the whites as you create shadows and more. Finish your painting with a magical background that will add a bit of magic to the piece. No drawing skills are required.

• Moon Scapes/ Moon Scenes Acrylics with Jen Livia (class link)

• Learn how to paint a variety of moons in this class all about the night sky. Choose to focus on a series of the moon phases or a single one in your landscape, and add a little whimsy of the night sky to your living space. You will learn how to use glazing liquid with your paints, what brushes to use and how to create craters, transparent elements, where to paint shadows to look realistic and where to add hi-lights.
